Sichuan chemical Academy of Natural Gas was founded in 1957. It is now belonged to Sichuan Chemical Group Co., Ltd. It is one of development high new-tech company which integrates scientific research with production and trade. The company owns unique import and export right and has passed ISO9001:2000 standard quality management system authentication.
Sichuan chemical Academy of Natural Gas mainly takes ammoxidation of natural gas to synthesize hydrogen cyanide as the leading and strives to the research and development of cyanide series products and fine chemicals. The headquarter is located in Zhonghe town, Shuangliu county, Chengdu. Sichuan Tianzheng Chemical Co., Ltd., Yongchuan institute, New products institute, Sichuan Natural Gas Chemical Engineering Centre and ten research labs are set up under the academy. This academy has two industrialization bases in Chengdu and Chongqing respectively, more than twenty sets of plants and scores of products. The main products are Iminodiacetonitrile, N—Phenylglycinenitrile, Sodium ferrocyanide, 2,2'-Azobisisoheptonitrile, DL-Mandelic acid (nitrile), Diaminomaleonitrile, Phenylacetic acid(nitrile) and EDTA. Among of all these products, Sodium ferrocyanide has the biggest capacity in the whole world. The capacity of Iminodiacetonitrile and N—Phenylglycinenitrile are top in China.
Sichuan chemical Academy of Natural Gas undertook the construction of national key scientific and technological project, State Torch Plan Program and State small and medium enterprises innovation fund program. This academy was awarded more than 30 prizes like state invention prize, state important scientific achievement award, state Torch Plan topic prize, provincial scientific progress prize, scientific enterprise award, torch plan enterprise award etc. 2,2'-Azobisisoheptonitrile was awarded the state-grade new product. Sodium ferrocyanide was awarded state invention prize and it has got the name of Sichuan Famous Brand Product for continuous four years. The academy possesses more than 10 patent technology and unique techniques of independent intellectual property rights.
